Elias is another way of saying Elijah, which in Hebrew, is actually "Eliyahu." The confusion comes from the fact that Elias is both a name and a calling. The calling is that of a "forerunner." John the Baptist was an Elias, the forerunner to Jesus Christ, preparing the way for Him. Those who are forerunners to His second coming, in preparing His kingdom on earth to receive Him when He comes again, will also be fulfilling the calling of Elias.
